When the current increases or the ambient temperature rises to the set temperature value, the bimetal element moves quickly, opens the contact, and cuts off the circuit. When the device cools down to a safe operating temperature, the KLIXON® bimetal reed quickly resets, the contacts close automatically and power is restored.
